Power Platform Lead Developer

LOCATION: 12211 Science Drive, Orlando, FL 32826-3276

Clearance Requirement: Clearable U.S. Citizen able to pass a background investigation for a Secret Federal Security Clearance.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Power Platform Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of custom business applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This role requires strong technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, as well as leadership in guiding a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact solutions.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
Guide and mentor a team of Power Platform developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical oversight.
Develop scalable, maintainable applications and workflows, ensuring alignment with best practices, compliance, and organizational standards.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with a variety of data sources including SharePoint, Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, and external REST APIs.
Lead the implementation of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring effective data modeling and visualization.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, infrastructure teams, and end users, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure secure development practices in accordance with STIG and federal compliance requirements.
Define and maintain development standards, coding guidelines, and documentation for Power Platform projects.
Manage ALM processes, including solution packaging, deployment pipelines, and version control (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
Deliver internal workshops, training sessions, and documentation to support knowledge transfer and team upskilling.
Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Secret Clearance Required to Start
6+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years with Microsoft Power Platform tools.
Proven experience leading Power Platform development teams or projects.
Expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, Common Data Service, SharePoint integration, and SQL Server.
Proficiency in JavaScript, C#, .NET, and data modeling for backend or hybrid solutions.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience managing work in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Familiarity with secure development practices, STIG compliance, and federal IT standards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
