Test Engineer

Overview

i3 is seeking a Test Engineer to support a unique and complex Army engineering effort located in Huntsville, Alabama. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical and engineering support and leadership. The position involves collaborating with civilian government personnel and a diverse team of engineering professionals to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved. The candidate can expect up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Supports test planning, coordination, execution, development of detailed test plans, test reports, quick-look briefings, test readiness reviews, and resource allocation management for test events.
• Supports hardware installation at customer sites as required.
• Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
• Create work instructions and routers for manufacturing activities detailing the required operations necessary for product realization.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and build issues.
• Support engineering efforts in preparation for Design Reviews
• Assist in the management and organization of government furnished equipment (GFE).
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering area (mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, and engineering technology, etc.) Additional/Relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• 6-12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to travel to suppliers and hardware installation sites as required.
• U. S. Citizenship is required.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
