We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to support a government product office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on component integration into the system-level architecture. In this role, you will be the product office's primary representative across a wide range of software and systems engineering-focused stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000-$188 000

Your day-to-day work will include:
- Coordination with the prime contractor on software development and integration plans for system capabilities.
- Coordination with weapon, sensor, and PdO's to identify software and interface requirements necessary to support product integration of components into the existing system architecture.
- Participate in and lead software development working groups.
- Manage/participate in design reviews, software design reviews, design document reviews, and system tests.
- Identify resource needs for software engineering and integration activities.
- Develop software engineering/development and integration budget and plans.
- Develop schedules for software engineering, development, and integration activities.
- Support and coordinate contract actions associated with/ support necessary for software engineering/development and integration activities.
- Identify, document, and communicate software risks associated with product development and integration.
- Prepare and present technical briefings to multiple levels of government organizations.
At a minimum you should have:
- An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.
- A bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- 10 or more years of system engineering or related experience.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively interface with various levels of workers/leaders
You will be highly desirable if you have:
- Experience with software systems engineering is required, and software engineering in an Agile methodology is highly desired.
- SAFe© Agile experience is a plus.
- Software development experience in support of DoD programs, especially in the Army Air and Missile Defense program.
