Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize multiuser computer systems, including infrastructure and cloud coordination.
- Develop and design core operating system builds.
- Set up administrator and service accounts, manage active directories, and document systems.
- Tune system performance, install systemwide software, and allocate mass storage space.
- Assess and resolve user access issues related to security controls.
- Identify and evaluate vendor products, establish monitoring and tracking processes.
- Perform capacity planning and system monitoring.
- Recommend platforms for purchase, coordinate installations, and provide backup recovery.
- Serve as a point of escalation for unresolved major incidents.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
- Draft general IT communications, including outage notifications.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance
- 2+ years in Desktop and Server Support (installation, patching, auditing, configuration, security, AD, etc.)
- Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot system/server hardware.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop and server-grade hardware.
- Experience with Windows Server 12', 16' & 19', Windows 7 & 10.
- Technical and Desktop Support experience.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment, equipment lifecycle management, and container management.
- Mobile device troubleshooting (iPhones, iPads, etc.).
- System/Server management and maintenance.
- Familiarity with STIGs/SCAP, MacOS, MS Active Directory, LDAP, Redhat Linux Systems Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VMware).
- 2+ years of Windows desktop support experience.
- Proficient in user account management, software and driver installation, and Windows system imaging.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products and cloud services.
- Basic network connectivity and hardware diagnosis skills.
- Experience with multifactor authentication, slip streaming drivers, and advanced networking (especially Juniper hardware).
- Virtualization experience is a plus.
