Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist, Program Management for the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program. This role directs all phases of the program from inception through completion, involving engagements with multiple USG organizations, managing competitive pursuits, and shaping follow-on value-added Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
The Program Manager for the Systems Hardware Integrated Program Team (IPT) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex hardware systems for the NGJ program. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware solutions on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a background in hardware engineering, program management, and a proven track record of successful program delivery. The Program Manager will drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. The role is responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of their IPT.

Essential Functions:
- Program Leadership:
- Lead and manage the Systems Hardware Integrated Program Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Drive the execution of program plans, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all program-related activities, both internally and externally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of hardware systems.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and collaboration to address program challenges and drive solutions.
- Risk and Opportunity Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor and report on risk status and mitigation efforts.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on program performance metrics, including schedule, cost, and quality.
- Conduct regular program reviews and audits to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the program team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Up to 25% travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active US Secret Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in program management, preferably in defense or aerospace industries.
- Proven experience in managing complex programs with multiple integration points.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, configuration management, and IT systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
