What will I be doing? You will be supporting the Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) Program Office efforts in providing health-related Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT) services support to deployed Airmen and collocated personnel. The support includes Medical Expeditionary Systems (MEDXS), medical waivers workflow management, Expeditionary Health Data Store (EHDS), medical analytics dashboards, integrated IM/IT testing capability, medical operations; expeditionary deployment operations and installation contingency response; planning; training; and readiness support functions. What will I be doing? In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and document software to support MEDXS application requirements, ensuring functionality aligns with operational medicine needs
- Analyze system interoperability and recommend optimizations to ensure seamless integration with DoD enterprise systems, supporting enterprise system engineering and agile development.
- Perform engineering studies, design evaluations, and prototype development to support application design, configuration, and technology refreshment for MEDXS systems.
- Manage the product development lifecycle
- Support global installations at secure and deployed locations
- Support cybersecurity posture and compliance.
- Participate in system upgrades, quick response support, site surveys, and on-site support
- Follow development standards (ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207:2017, DAU best practices)
- Support software sustainment and modernization for MEDXS in enterprise environments, ensuring systems remain functional and up-to-date with DoD standards.
- Integrate and validate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products, methods, procedures, and decision support tools to enable system implementation.
- Provide systems engineering support by analyzing system concepts and designs for the AFOMIS OpMed IM/IT application suite, ensuring they meet mission requirements.

You mustmeet theminimumrequirements:
- Active Secret clearance
- 5 years of experience in the Implementation, configuration and sustainment of the following capabilities: Windows and Linux client-server applications, DoD standard server and workstation baseline images; customized analytics dashboards in an enterprise environment; integrated system testing capability in physical and virtual environments.
- A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution OR one of the following certifications
- CND or SSCP
- IAW DoDD 8140 applicable military training is acceptable in lieu of degree and/or certification
- Experience overseeing COTS/GOTS integration and ensuring system interoperability with DoD enterprise systems
- Expertise in maintaining system configuration baselines and ensuring compliance with DoD standards
- Ability to travel, flexibility to work in dynamic, deployed environments and willingness to work in secure facilities - Must have valid US Passport
- Familiarity with medical IT systems
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements to protect PHI
- Understanding of the RMF process
- Skills in conducting engineering studies, evaluations, and prototype development
- Experience with FedRAMP-approved cloud environments or DoD Cloud
