What will I be doing? You will be supporting the Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) Program Office efforts in providing health-related Information Management/ Information Technology (IM/IT) services support to deployed Airmen and collocated personnel. The support includes Medical Expeditionary Systems (MEDXS), medical waivers workflow management, Expeditionary Health Data Store (EHDS), medical analytics dashboards, integrated IM/IT testing capability, medical operations; expeditionary deployment operations and installation contingency response; planning; training; and readiness support functions. In this role, you will:
  • Install and administer MEDXS and AFOMIS OpMed IM/IT softwareConfigure and sustain Windows and Linux client-server applications for enterprise workflow and analytics
  • Monitor software licensingConduct audits, transaction logging, and recovery operations
  • Conduct quarterly security scans
  • Deliver functional and systems administration training, tailoring curricula for sites
  • Document lessons learned for CONOPS
  • Assist in remote deployment and sustainment activities.
  • Conduct recovery, patch testing, and remote system support.
  • Provide field services and mobile training
  • Maintain DIACAP/RMF documentation for ATO/ATC compliance
  • Provide maintenance support services
  • Troubleshoot software issues across garrison, theater, and remote environments
  • Integrate and test software patches
  • Maintain DoD standard server/workstation baseline images
  • Other duties as assigned
What experience, training, and education do I need?

You mustmeet theminimumrequirements:
  • Active Secret clearance
  • 5+ years experience implementing and maintaining Windows/Linux server applications and DoD standard server and workstation baseline images and enterprise workflow and data analytics applications.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution OR at least one of the following certifications:
    • Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC
    • IAW DoDD 8140 applicable military training is acceptable in lieu of degree and/or certification
  • Ability to integrate and test software patches and maintain software licensing
  • Knowledge of configuration management processes to maintain system baselines and track installations
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DIACAP processes for Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) compliance
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022) and Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic firewall management.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or Docker for managing virtual environments.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating routine tasks.
  • Expertise in backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or Microsoft System Center for system monitoring.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure for hybrid or cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to travel, flexibility to work in dynamic, deployed environments and willingness to work in secure facilities - Must have valid US Passport
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements to protect PHI
  • Familiarity with medical IT systems
Where is the client site that I would be working for? This position is remote with regular CONUS and OCONUS travel and remote work locations as required. Address disclosed after your clearance is verified.
